1. Who we are and what this policy covers
AuConvy ("AuConvy," "we," "us," or "our") is the developer of the Audio Converter AuConvy mobile application. This Privacy Policy applies to the AuConvy app for iOS and Android, this website, and support communications related to AuConvy (together, the "Services").
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services. For questions or privacy requests, email app.contactform@gmail.com.
2. Audio files and on-device processing
When you select an audio or video file, AuConvy accesses that file only with the permission you grant through your device's file picker or share controls. Conversion, batch conversion, trimming, cutting, splitting, speed changes, speech enhancement, and noise reduction are performed locally on your device.
- Selected source files are not uploaded to AuConvy servers for processing.
- Converted and edited results are saved locally or to a location you choose.
- The optional Audio Enhancer downloads processing models during a one-time setup. After setup, the models remain on your device and the selected recording is processed locally.
- You control the original and output files through your device. Uninstalling the app may remove files kept in app-specific storage, but does not necessarily remove files you saved elsewhere.
3. Information the app may collect
AuConvy does not ask you to create a traditional profile with your name or email address. The app uses Firebase anonymous authentication, which creates an automatically generated user identifier. Based on the app's current privacy report, included services may process the following categories:
| Category | Examples and purpose | Linkage shown in the report |
|---|---|---|
| Coarse location | Approximate region, generally inferred from network information, for analytics. | May be linked to the anonymous app identifier; not precise location and not used for tracking. |
| User identifier | An automatically generated Firebase anonymous user ID used for app functionality. | Linked to the app installation or anonymous user. |
| Device or app identifiers | App instance, installation, and device identifiers used for analytics and app functionality. | Linkage can vary by the included service; the current report does not mark this data as tracking. |
| Product interaction | Features used, screens viewed, conversions started or completed, and similar app interactions. | May be linked to the anonymous app identifier for analytics. |
| Purchase history | Subscription or one-time purchase status needed to unlock and restore AuConvy Pro. | Reported as not linked to you and not used for tracking. |
| Crash and diagnostic data | Crash logs, error details, performance, and other technical diagnostics used to fix problems. | Reported as not linked to you and not used for tracking. |
Advertising support
The privacy report includes a device-identifier declaration associated with system advertising permission support. That declaration is marked as not linked to you and not used to track you. AuConvy does not sell personal information. If advertising features are enabled in a future version, this policy and any required in-app consent flow will be updated before materially different processing begins.
4. Website and support communications
This website is a static information site and does not currently include an analytics SDK, advertising tracker, user account, or contact form. Standard hosting logs, such as IP address, request time, browser type, and requested page, may be processed by the hosting provider for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
Contact links open your email application. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. Please do not send audio files or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above only as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the app.
- Create and maintain anonymous authentication and app-installation records.
- Measure feature use and improve usability, reliability, and performance.
- Process, verify, restore, and support purchases and subscriptions.
- Respond to support, privacy, legal, and security requests.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users and the Services.
7. Legal bases for processing
Where a legal basis is required, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on one or more of the following:
- Contract: to provide requested app features and paid entitlements.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, analyze, and improve the Services.
- Consent: where you grant an optional device permission or consent is required by law.
- Legal obligation: to comply with applicable law and valid legal process.
8. Retention and deletion
Local audio files remain under your control until you delete them, remove the app data, or uninstall the app. Automatically generated identifiers, analytics events, diagnostics, and purchase records are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to provider settings and legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention requirements.
Support emails are retained as needed to resolve the request, maintain support history, comply with law, and protect legal rights. You may request deletion using the contact information below. Because AuConvy uses an anonymous identifier, we may need reasonable device or installation details to locate a record, and we may be unable to link an anonymous record to you without that information.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Request a portable copy of eligible information.
- Appeal a privacy decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.
You can also manage file, notification, microphone, and other device permissions through your iOS or Android settings. To submit a request, use the contact page or email app.contactform@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
10. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections provided by the app stores, Firebase, RevenueCat, and our hosting provider. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual protections. Local files processed on your device are not transferred by AuConvy for conversion, editing, or enhancement.
11. Children's privacy
AuConvy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age, that higher age applies. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements, or service providers change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
Questions, complaints, and privacy requests can be sent to app.contactform@gmail.com.
